Our client, a leading high-tech security provider in East Africa with itscorporate headquarters in Nairobi is looking for a qualified and experiencedindividual to fill a position of A Radio Controller.

The successful candidate will be charged with a responsibility of operatingCentral Control Room Radio and Alarm Monitoring.

Responsibilities:

   
* To operate the HF and VHF radio systems, telephone andcomputer terminals of the Central Control 
Room
    * To monitor the security alarm receiver, interpret andrecord alarm activations and faults and record result of alarm responses.
    * To give directions to mobile response units.
    * liaise with contact clients in connection with alarmactivations
    * Calling the emergency services when required.
    * To receive and record telephone messages, complaints andrequests for company services.
    * Monitoring and recording the movement of company vehicles.
    * To make entries in the Occurrence Book;
    * To maintain records of assignments and prepare reports andreturns as directed.
    * To keep the Duty Controller informed of all incidents andalarm activations occurring during a tour of duty;
    * To take necessary action based on the guidelines and inline with the agreements made with the customer

Knowledge and Skills
    * Diploma in IT, Engineering or related field
    * Be computer literate
    * Excellent communication skills
    * Alertness and quick response
    * Age: 25 - 35 years old
    * Ability to work for long hours

Our client is a real estate development company in Kenya. They are looking to fill the job of a Construction Administrator. 

The main focus of the
 ConstructionAdministrator (“CA”) will be to assist in theconstruction administration of Mandharini, a large resort in Kilifi Kenya.Mandharini will be built by a Contractor. The CA will work with theConstruction Manager (“CM”) to help oversee the construction process and handle 
all administrative work regarding the construction process.
 

The CA will initially be based in Nairobi for the first 2-3 months andthereafter in Kilifi for about 18 months during the construction of phase 1 ofthe project (with a possibility for extension) and will report to theConstruction Manager. 

Duties & Responsibilities
 
      Reviewing and organizing approved drawings forthe construction project in liaison with the
    Legal Officer, Construction Manager and the Directors
      · Coordinating BoQ reviews
      · Measuring and administering rates andquantities
      · Responsible for issuing drawings to variousconsulting teams on site and ensuring that all consultants teams are workingfrom only the most current approved drawings
      · Providing weekly reports to the Head office
      · Assisting the CM in overseeing theconstruction project in all its aspects
      · Assisting in completing and updating allproject documents when needed
      · Developing of effective communicationmechanisms to ensure efficient information flows amongst the variousparticipants
 

Experience, Knowledge and skills required 
      · Bachelors' minimum in engineering or aconstruction related degree
      · Minimum of 5 years' experience working for acontractor as a project based Quantity Surveyor in large scale constructionprojects
      · Strong in reading and understand constructiondrawings
 
      · Experience with drafting / analysing BoQs
      · Practical construction knowledge
      · Good Administrator both on site and in theoffice
      · Contract administration and knowledge of legalissues regarding the construction contract desirable
      · Excellent skills in MS Office and ArchiCAD orAutoCAD knowledge desirable

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1Cash accounting & management
Maintain and control Petty cash.
Validate invoices, code all expenses, prepare payments for suppliers andcalculate
any tax due to the Government.
Calculate all monetary commitments monthly.
Ensure that all cash expenditures are approved by the Finance Manager and/orthe departmental head.
Run day to day bank errands.

2. Financial reporting
Photocopying and scanning all monthly FFR support documents for reporting tothe donor.
Properly and consistently file all financial reports and support documents.
Ensure proper filing of all financial reports and support documentation for allcash and disbursements is well done.
Assist in posting QuickBooks transactions

3.Preparation of the Financial Statements and External audits
Facilitating all audits

4.Administration
Review the cheque register to ensure that cheques are dispatched to suppliers.
Promptly submit all payroll statutory deductions other tax returns due to therelevant authorities
Maintain the asset/inventory register.
Track and record supply of materials procured for sites.
Any other duties as may be assigned by the Country Director and/or Departmenthead.

Requirements

Minimum CPA (K)
Proficiency in the use of accounting software
At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position
